1. Who we are
Golpath Institute is a brand of Berlin Sports BSC GmbH, Motzstraße 89, 10779 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@golpath.com. Full company details are in our Impressum. "You" means the person booking a place on a programme.
2. Booking
You book a place by completing the booking form on golpath.com and making your first payment through Stripe. Your contract with us is concluded once your payment has been received. We then confirm your booking by email. Places are limited and are allocated in the order in which payments are received.
Our programmes are taught in English. We recommend at least B2 level, so that you can follow the sessions and take part in the workshops.
3. Prices
All prices are in euros (EUR) and include VAT. The price that applies is the one shown on our website at the time you book.
Bookings made by 31 December 2026 receive our early-bird price, whichever payment option you choose. From 1 January 2027, paying in one payment gives 10% off the regular price. All discounted prices are rounded down to the nearest €10. Discounts and codes can't be combined unless we say so explicitly in these terms.
4. Payment options
One payment. You pay the full programme price when you book.
Two instalments. You pay 50% when you book. The remaining 50% is due 90 days before the programme starts, and we send you a payment link for it by email. This option is only available if you book more than 90 days before the start date. If the second instalment isn't paid within 7 days of the due date, you lose your place and the first instalment will not be refunded.
€500 reservation. You pay €500 when you book to hold your place and lock in the price that applies on that day. The remaining amount is due 30 days after your booking, and we send you a payment link for it by email. If it isn't paid by then, you have a further 7 days as a final deadline. If you need a visa, the remaining amount is due once your visa has been approved, and in any case before the programme starts. The €500 counts towards the programme price and is non-refundable, subject to section 9. If the remaining amount isn't paid by the final deadline, you lose your place and the €500 will not be refunded.
5. Referral rewards
This applies once you have booked a Golpath Institute programme. If you then recommend Golpath Institute to someone who hasn't booked with us before, and they book a programme, you receive two rewards: a €100 Amazon voucher, and €200 off the next Golpath Institute programme you book.
The person you refer needs to give us your name when they book. We send your rewards by email once they have paid the full programme price. The €200 discount can be used once, on a programme you book after the reward has been issued, and can be combined with other promotions applicable at the time of purchase. Rewards don't expire and can't be exchanged for cash.
6. What's included
The programme price covers all sessions and workshops, visits to clubs and sports organisations, the networking and social activities in the programme, and your certificate of participation. Travel, meals and accommodation are not included. On request, we can help you arrange accommodation. Any accommodation is booked and paid for separately.
7. Visas and travel
You are responsible for your own travel, travel insurance and any visa you need to enter Portugal. We can send you an official invitation letter to support your visa application once you've made a reservation or booking. If you'd rather apply for your visa before paying anything, we can also issue the letter after a call with our team. A letter issued after a call doesn't hold a place for you, and places are allocated in the order in which payments are received. We recommend applying as early as possible.
8. Cancellation by you
All payments are non-refundable, subject to section 9. If you cancel your booking, don't pay an amount on time or don't attend, you lose your place and we don't refund what you have already paid. You don't owe us any amounts that were not yet due at that point. To cancel, email hello@golpath.com.
If you can't attend, you can name another person to take your place at no extra cost, as long as you tell us before the programme starts. You can also ask to move to a later intake of the same programme, subject to availability.
9. Your right of withdrawal
If you book as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. To withdraw, send a clear statement to Berlin Sports BSC GmbH, Motzstraße 89, 10779 Berlin, Germany, or to hello@golpath.com. If you withdraw within this period, we refund all payments we have received from you within 14 days, using the same payment method. Where this right applies, it takes priority over sections 4 and 8.
10. Changes and cancellation by us
Speakers, visits and the schedule may change for reasons outside our control. If so, we replace them with content of equal value.
If we cancel a programme at least 60 days before it starts, we tell you by email and refund everything you have paid in full. If we have to cancel later than that, we will offer you a place on a later intake of the same programme or a refund. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs you have booked yourself, so we recommend booking flexible tickets and taking out travel insurance.
11. During the programme
Please follow the instructions of our team and the rules of the clubs and organisations we visit. If someone seriously disrupts the programme or puts others at risk, we may exclude them without a refund. We take photos and videos during the programme. We ask for your consent to use them when you arrive in Lisbon.
12. Liability and insurance
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their travel, accommodation, health and liability insurance, as well as any required visas.
The organisers are not liable for injuries, lost items, travel disruptions, or denial of a participant's entry into Portugal.
13. Force majeure
The organisers will not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of the programme, in whole or in part, of any of the obligations arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to war; riot; civil commotion; malicious damage; compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction; accident; the breakdown of plant or machinery; fire; earthquake; flood; storm; pandemics (for ongoing pandemics, when government measures are in place, including but not limited to the restriction of mass gatherings or international travel), epidemics or other communicable disease or infection outbreaks, whether national or international; public health emergencies; or a failure in the public supply of electricity, heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment.
If a Golpath Institute programme is cancelled in whole or in part due to any of the circumstances above, the organisers shall not be liable for any damages, costs or losses incurred by participants, including but not limited to the programme fee, travel expenses and accommodation costs.
14. Personal data
We process your personal data to manage your booking and the programme. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
15. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force.
